Highlands New Life Community Church is being intentionally planted to bring Christ’s light to Southeast Grey County (Markdale, Flesherton, Dundalk) and Northwest Dufferin County (Corbetton, Melancthon, Shelburne)

My name is Greg.  In 2023 my wife, Sarah, and I felt called to plant a church in this unique and special part of Ontario.  Since November 2024, we now live in the region and along with two other families – we have been meeting regularly to pray, plan, and lay the foundation for this new church.

We are now looking for others who share a passion for Jesus and see the need for a church in this area to join us.

We exist to build up one another through authentic relationships, Spirit-led worship, and intentional discipleship and growth so we can more fully love God, experience His audacious love, and love others, inviting our neighbours to join us on the adventure of living the New Life identity – being more like Jesus everyday.

Proclaiming God’s Truth in Love

Humbly, lovingly and firmly speaking the truth of God’s Word even when it challenges worldly perspectives (1 Cor. 1:18) because it has the power to save (Rom. 1:16), bring freedom (Luke 4:18-19) and transform lives (Heb. 4:12).

Growing in Christ Through Discipleship

Being good stewards of the gift of salvation and the gifts given to us through the Spirit by being transformed (Rom. 12:2) and renewed back to the image of our creator (Col. 3:10) restoring our relationship with God, and others through consistent and intentional discipleship efforts.

Each person finds their unique place and purpose in the body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:12-26) by welcoming, and loving people from all walks of life (Rom. 13:8-10) while standing firm on biblical truth (Luke 11:28).

Building authentic relationships, equipping/edifying one another (1 Thess. 5:11), celebrating/worshiping God together in harmony (Heb. 10:25) and sharing life together in love, unity and serving each other (James 2:1-9).

Demonstrating Christ’s love through Spirit-led actions (Gal. 5:16), service (James 2:14), and missional (local and international), fruitful living (Col. 3:23-24) every day of the week.

Teaching

Since November of 2024 we have gathered each Sunday to Worship.  We meet in our homes and this time together has included singing, teaching and encouraging each other.  Most recently, we are working through a series of courses and programs – identifying potential curriculum and materials for small groups to use when the church officially launches.
